description=You might be interested to know that the helicopter designation known as "Sikorsky S-64 SkyCrane" does not and has not existed since Erickson Air-Crane purchased the Type Certificate from Sikorsky in 1992. After that date, all FAA certified "Standard Transport Category" S-64 Helicopters in the world have been designated "Erickson S-64 Aircrane" helicopters. Although known primarily as an extreme heavy lift platform capable of moving 15,000 to 20,000 lbs of suspended cargo and fuel, the S-64 Helitanker "Elvis" is also a national symbol of fire suppression efforts in Australia since the "Black Christmas" fires of 2001-2002. This helicopter has a wide range of talents to cater to a very demanding market!
