File Description:
Used variously as a long-range freighter and/or passenger airliner, the York was designed around the wings, engines, undercarriage, and tail assembly of the Lancaster bomber, adding a box-shaped fuselage and a center fin. Of a total of 253 production aircraft built, 208 initially went to the RAF, 25 to BOAC, 12 to BSAA, and 5 to FAMA (Flota Area Mercante Argentina). Specially fitted VIP versions were used by Winston Churchill and General de Gaulle. After completing 29,000 sorties in the Berlin Airlift of 1948-9, many RAF Yorks were sold to charter operators such as Aviation Traders, Dan Air, Hunting Clan, Lancashire Aircraft Corporation, and Skyways of London. Some of these re-acquired RAF roundels for "trooping flights" to the Middle East in the 1950s. From 1955 onward, the Yorks were gradually withdrawn, although some soldiered on until 1964. Two such veterans have been preserved as museum exhibits in Duxford and Cosford in the UK. Gmax exterior model and textures by Manfred Jahn, FDE by Paul Edwards, panel by Phil Perrott (Alphasim), Paul Edwards, and Lars Fors. A dedicated AI version has been released separately; further repaints as well as a PSP repaint kit are in the pipeline. The textures in this package represent MW207 of 246 Squadron RAF, BOAC G-AGNP ("Manchester"), and Skyways G-AHEY. Users can choose to fly these in any of six load and engine configurations.

PAN AM Repaint für die POSky B747-221: fairwind.zip

File Description:
The wonderful POSKY 747-200 repainted in the colors of Pan American Airways's Clipper Fairwind. This livery was kind of a mix between the older "blue stripe" livery and the Billboard livery.

Die Yortk gibts auch bei Flightsim, Filename steht ja in Bernds ersten Post ;)
Bei AVSIM ist es momentan unmöglich zu saugen :smash:

Juten Morchen,

vielleicht solltet ihr den Schnorchel für´s .............saugen .............mal reinigen :nein:bei so großen Fliegern klemmt schon mal so´ne Tragfläche oder ein Reifen :lol: :lol: im Rohr oder der Beutel ist voll , soll ja auch vorkommen das ein Telekomiker mal auf der Leitung steht :nein: :lol: :lol:

ein Tip : morgen´s so zwischen 6.30 - 10.00 Uhr läuft der DL mit ca. 160 - 220 kb/sec :D Rentner und Schulschwänzerzeit ich weiß :brav: :brav:

jedenfalls bei mir , abends oder nachmittags da mag man mich teilweise gar nicht AVSIM und da werd ich nicht reingelassen. :lol: :lol:

Aber nun zum Flieger ja is der schön ... :luxhello:.... und schon in meinem Hangar angekommen :thumb:

Scottish Airlines was formed in 1946 as the airline division of Prestwick based Scottish Aviation. The airline operated scheduled services within the UK along with charter work on a world wide basis. During the fifties a total of 7 Avro Yorks were purchased for various services like civilian contract and charter work, including regular trans-Atlantic cargo charter flights. The Yorks were appreciated for their long haul capacity and reliable operation. These are textures for Manfred Jahn's and Paul Edwards' Avro York package, available here on AVSIM.
