The cloud9 Xclass Europe improves in a considerable way the terrain of all of Europe, increasing the precision of how the terrains are visualised. The standard large, and even, areas of Flight Simulator X scenery are modified and are represented in greater detail. Furthermore, special terrain zones have also been added (e.g. industrial areas or saline areas along the coast lines) which normally aren't represented in the standard FSX scenery. With cloud9 Xclass improved designs have been applied accurately on more than 150.000 urban areas of Europe including towns with only a squared kilometre area. This allows to carryout much more accurate and realistic VFR flights.
Cloud9 Xclass contains also another important improvement to the European standard scenery in Flight Simulator X: The textures of the terrain are based on the climatic area of any particular geographic zone. FSX has increased to 24 (in comparison to 10 of FS9) the geographical areas, however, the areas in the south of Europe have been defined the same as hotter regions like Africa. This causes an incorrect visualisation of southern European countries terrain as the textures don't correspond to reality. Cloud9's Xclass intervenes and corrects these errors by modifying the terrain by applying a less dry texture which corresponds to reality, especially during season like spring and summer, thus eliminating that droughty desert like look around the airports. The screenshots below will depict exactly the changes and improvements brought about by Cloud9's Xclass product.
* Features: Renders a better visualisation of European terrain making it more close to reality, designing a more accurate type of terrain.
* Corrects the regional climatic areas in the south of Europe, eliminating the excessive yellow dry terrain colour during hot seasons.
* It integrates perfectly with any add-on scenery.
* Includes many more small urban areas and recreates more faithfully the big urban areas.
* Doesn't impact at all on the frame rate (except for areas where a more detailed autogen can slow down slightly the standard scenery).
