France VFR Releases Mesh France For FSX
The France Mesh covers the whole French territory with a true 1.5 second arc data elevation model, about 38 meters (LOD10) in Flight Simulator. This data elevation model has been optimized and resampled in a 19 meter resolution in order to be more accurate and ready for the new generation sceneries to come. For the development, the team at FranceVFR have used the IGN BDALTI © data elevation model in an extended Lambert II format with a reprojection into Flight Simulator WGS84 standard format. Some features of this product are as follows:
- High resolution native 38 meters (LOD10) data format
- Optimized and resampled version in 19 meters (LOD11) provided
- Easy to use and configure: 10 areas splitting
- Official French Institut Géographique National BDALTI© data
- Light version 76 meters (LOD9) provided
- Full compatibility with France VFR FlightSeries sceneries
- Ability to mix the mesh with other lower resolution mesh products

Nice & Cannes Airports - Riviera JetSet
This first Airport Pack conceived for the Riviera Basepack contains the airports of Nice and Cannes.
The pack represents a lot more than just a simple assembly of platforms in one product, it is conceived as a thematic scenery including a great number of remarkable buildings and objects situated outside the airports (harbors, boats, waterfront, marinas, hotels, malls, etc...) as well as varied animations and AI Traffic of Jets in a great realism.
The accuracy of the 3 dimension modeling is respecting a certain number of constraints linked to the overlapping of the different layers of the sceneries and the optimization of the frame rate.
The integration of the platforms within the existing photo-realistic Basepacks is particularly emphasized, while respecting the homogeneity and the density of the autogen buildings, the harmony of colors, luminosity and contrasts.
With these new AirportPacks (airports, and airfields) conceived for each Basepack already on the market, the France VFR sceneries will be more than ever real aeronautical environments adapted either to VFR Flights as to leisure flights.
The scenery is conceived for FS9 and for FSX with patch. A specific version for FSX only is under study.
