:hm:

BAF = Biafrian Airforce ...

Wir sehen uns im AVIATICUM - Wr.Neustadt

ANTONOV
An-2T

For FS9/FSX

THE INTRODUCTION

Legendary multi-purpose Russian biplane, the first creation of the legendary designer of Oleg Antonov, which much more has gone through the founder. In this version the transport version is submitted. It is mine 3 versions of creation of this airplane. The model is compiled in GMAX MDL - 2004 but almost is completely adapted for use in FSX, including russian original gauges, full animation (completely animation the pilots in exterior and co-pilot in VC), completely new model and VC, panel. 3 new effects is applied.

DESCRIPTION:

Has much modifications: transport (T), desant-transport (TD),
passenger, sanitary, photo (F), float (V), agro (SX), (M).

Role: Utility, light cargo and passenger, agro aircraft
Status Some still current, but many stored
NATO Codename Colt
First Flight 1947
First Year of Service
Engine 1 Shvetsov ASh-26
Length 12.7m / 41ft 9in
Wingspan 18.2m / 59ft 8in
Range 1200 km
Cruising Speed 185 km/h / 115mph
Payload Capacity 10 passengers
Maximum Take-off Weight 5 ' 500 kg
Production Circa 15 ' 650 in total, of which around 4000 were built in the USSR from 1947 until 1971, and at least 11 ' 650 by PZL in Poland from 1964 until the early 1990s.

MODEL

Model include exterior model in 2 versions:
1 - wheel
2 - ski
Is developed in 2 textures - yellow standard Aeroflot, northern - polar Amur-airlines.
Are in detail developed the panel and VC (completely workers), Russian original gauges.

INSTALL

FOR FS 2004:

unpack in your folder FS 2004
Initial file An2t_07.zip
------\FS2004\Aircraft
------------------------------\An2TS // (SKI version)
------------------------------\An2TW // (WHEEL version)

Contents of a folder effect - in folder FS9 /Effect/

PAY ATTENTION - panel and the devices are located only in a folder An2TW
- in to a folder An2TS - only references to a folder An2TW - therefore, if you want to establish only skis - copy contents of a folder WHEEL in a folder SKI. Besides for reduction the size of a file in a folder WHEEL are switched on only textures Aeroflot and RuAF, in a folder SKY - only Amur (only distinguish textures). SO MUCH IMPORTANT - COPY LACKING (ONLY LACKING!!!) TEXTURES from the file An2TW/textures.afl in the file An2TS/textures.amur.
Simply copy - on the question "overwrite" - will refused. Regrettably I am compel to shorten a volume of file - I have the greater problems with send in internet (Ukraine -a bad relationship). In general was is designed 4 textures - lacking I send later. But all textures are completely compatible - always it is possible to add texture in the version, necessary to you, having written appropriate lines in airckraft.cfg, for example:

For an insert Amur in wheel version:

FOR FSX:

unpack in your folder FS 2004 Initial file An2t_07.zip
---------------------------------------- in a folder \FSX\SimObjeckts\Airplanes\ -
------------------------------------------- Further - as in FS 2004
Contents of a folder effect - in folder FSX /Effect/

PANEL
Panel is developed on the basis of original gauges, which I developed for the first time, therefore I ask strictly to not estimate these gauges. I have made attempt as it is possible more authentically to present the instrumental panel of an airplane but in view of convenience for simulator, therefore some nonexistent devices are added or are located not on the places. More really gauges are located in VC. The in-depth scheme of accommodation of devices is submitted on pic. 1:

1. ADI
2. Airspeed (km/h)
3. Altmetr (m)
4. Girocompass
5. Magneto PM-1
6. Vertical speed
7. RMI (NAV1 –ADF)
8. UPRT - % throttle lever (It is which Russian device no in real An-2 - but he is established on many Russian airplanes - he is established for convenience - to not apply additional throttle panel.)
9. Pressure system gauge
10. Radioalt (700 m)
11. Fuel quantity
12. PRM
13. Cylinder temp
14. Radio ADF old style (ARK-5)
15. Radio NAV1 (MP-1)
16. Radio NAV2 (MP-2)
17. Radio COM-1 with COM-1 (ukv) switch
18. DME (with NAV1-NAV2 switch)
19. Ammetr
20. Voltmetr
21. Throttle lever
22. Clock
23. Heading indicator
24. ADI for co-pilot
25. Radiocompass (ADF)
26. Flaps indicator (This gauges in a real airplane is located on pedestal - on the panel is located for convenience - is correctly located in VC)
27. Cowl flaps indicator (This gauges in a real airplane is located on pedestal - on the panel is located for convenience - is correctly located in VC)
28. Avionick switch
29. ADI switch
30. ADF radio switch
31. Pitot switch
32. COM radio switch
33. NAV lights switch
34. Land lights switch
35. Taxi lights switch
36. Cocpit lights switch
37. Battery lamp
38. Battery switch
39. Alternator switch
40. Nav – GPS switch
- and icon ATS-GPS-MAP-RADIO switch.

RADIO panel

Accessible options for radio panel are specified on Pic1A:
1. Radio ADF tune
2. Radio ADF sound on-off
3. NAV 1 tune
4. Radio NAV 1 sound on-off
5. NAV 2 tune
6. Radio NAV 2 sound on-off
7. Radio COM-1
8. Transponder
9. Autopilot

Here it is necessary to say that the autopilot in a real airplane no! - the fans of the special realism can him easily disconnect in a file panel.cfg. I have inserted him for convenience at long flights - set-up of a course on the device Heading indicator (pic.1 № 23). Use gauges in style Bendix - is quite real - they often place on An-2 in a back part pedestal or on a board of co-pilot. On Pic.1A are selected with a yellow line the help of frequency - TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THIS HELP DOES NOT WORK FOR RADIO And SOME OTHER GAUGES IN FSX!!!
Separately there is an access to the panel GPS through icon.

VC – VIRTUAL COCPIT
VC Is developed with the large details. Work all gauges, completely animation co-pilot. Except for gauges are added animation of a part - look Pic. 2:

1. Stick fore ALT-DOUWN
1A. Stick right-left
2. Animation co-pilot
3. Throttle lever
4. Mixture lever
5. Prop lever
6. Flaps lever
7. Cowl flars lever
8. Parking brake lever
9. Pedals

CUSTOM ANIMATION

The keys for exterior animation are shown on Pic.3. For keys TAILHOOK and WINGFOLD it is necessary to nominate buttons in options of simulator.
As against wheel model at a shut-down engine at ski model show not only lock devices, but also device for warm of a cabin and engine start-up (Pic.4).

EFFECTS

4 new effects - are developed:
1. Startup
2. Summer ground-dust
3. Winter snow-dust
4. Land lights
I very much wanted to develop normal dust-effect (I he already use him in previous my models C-123 and Tu-95MS) - here is advanced - but the capabilities itself simulator limit him - unfortunately of effect as in IL-2 Sturmovik it is simply impossible to reach(achieve) - but I hope that he to you to like. If there is no - it(him) it is easily possible to disconnect in a file aircraft.cfg in a part [effect] and to replace on default effect.

SOUND

Unfortunately I the expert for a sound - therefore never develop them, I can only give the recommendations, therefore sounds from default C-172 here are entered. I prefer for this model to use a sound from Ju-52 from magnificent model P.Primavesi - they approach very well - have all necessary, even the scratch of brakes at taxiing is very much help to orient during takeoff and landing. These sounds can be taken on site Avsim.com and others sites.

SOME FEATURES of AERODYNAMICS

The model has very easy dynamics - real airplane An-2 is easy in control, Russian polar the pilots could be touched down and take off on ice airfield in length no more than 70 m. But the model has some features:
1. Startup. For an engine start-up it is necessary to establish throttle lever in a position not less than 30 % for UPRT (Pic.1 - №8) - for this purpose necessarily previously establish parking brake in a position ON. After start it is possible to establish throttle lever in a position a minimum. The special panel for start I did not make - start with the help key Cntr+E.
2. The airplane has the large tendency to a pitch up - therefore previously it is possible to establish a trim tab of elevator in a position -18 - - 21 during takeoff.
3. On landing trim tab of elevator to establish in more upper position.

SOME non-realized options for FSX

Unfortunately some options to me did not manage to be realized for FSX it is connected to that that in version of installation FSX which is distributed in Ukraine - no SDK. Therefore model откомпилирована in GMAX for 2004 - but basically normally works in FSX.
All gauges are adapted under FSX - but they have one lack - do not show the help of frequency or degrees in navigating gauges and radio devices (Pic.1A – yellow line) - unfortunately without SDK to me was not possible to decide this problem (send 90 mGB in Ukraine very difficultly). Therefore for set-up of frequency in radio it is necessary to work more than in FS9.
But most insulting - do not work Land Lights in exterior model - I could not win this problem without SDK-FSX - and it very important for flights especially on ski model conditions of polar night.
Some the problems are easy for deciding(solving) to the experimental users - for example: to replace gauge Heading Indicator on defolt of DHC-2 - he very much similar on gauge of AN-2.
I bring please forgive for it - I hope - when I will have package SDK - I shall do new AN-2 for FSX.

Ich hatte auch ma die AN-2 für den FSX. Der Trick ist der, dass du ein wenig schub drin haben musst, damit sie anspringt also beim nächsten Start:
1. Ein wenig Gas geben
2. Motor starten
Dann müsste es klappen
Mit freundlichen Grüßen
